The Aviation Engineering bachelor’s degree programme is one of the most popular study programmes globally, as the constantly developing aviation industry demands skilled technical professionals. Study programme is implemented by TSI in close cooperation with leading Latvian and international airlines and MRO enterprises. Lectures and workshops are held by exceptional professionals with practical experience in the aviation industry.
The programme focuses on the principles of aviation engineering, with a specific emphasis on maintenance and design. During studies, students learn about aerodynamics, propulsion systems, avionics, maintenance of aircraft, ground handling, materials and hardware, and structures relevant to aircraft. Furthermore, students cover specific CAMO subjects, such as aircraft maintenance planning and Safety Management Compliance Monitoring Systems.
The programme combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience, including practical aspects of aircraft testing and maintenance. Graduates are prepared for various roles within the aviation industry, such as aircraft design, maintenance organisations, and aerospace research and development centres.
Students can also attend an EASA Part-66 Module Exams at TSI APAC, an EASA-approved Part-147 training centre, in selected categories: A1 (Aircraft Licensed Technician), B1 (Aircraft Licensed Engineer, specializing in Mechanics), B2 (Aircraft Licensed Engineer, specializing in Avionics). By acquiring in-depth knowledge and expertise, students can begin their professional careers during their studies or immediately after graduation.
Additionally, students have the opportunity to continue their education in aviation by choosing a professional master’s programme in Aviation Management. The significant shortage of skilled professionals in this field ensures that future engineers will be highly sought after in the labour market.
are ready to gain understanding of basics of engineering sciences and to acquire the necessary knowledge and experience to work as an aviation specialists in various areas of this industry, including but not limited to:
the ability to attend the EASA Part-66 qualification examinations, enhancing students’ career opportunities after graduation;
