You will gain a thorough knowledge of the major economic, financial, legal and cultural factors shaping international business today.
We develop your capabilities in applied economic analysis and equip you with all the transferable skills expected by leading employers, from problem-solving and decision-making to research and consultancy.
The BA (Hons) International Business and Finance also offers choice and flexibility, with a variety of optional modules on finance, accounting, marketing, human resource management, enterprise and logistics themes. This enables you to build a degree which reflects your career aspirations and ensures you can adapt to rapidly changing patterns of employment opportunities.

In our impressive Bloomberg Financial Markets Lab, you can harness the same information and technology used by financial professionals all over the world. You will be working with latest data on companies and financial markets, director profiles and analysis of current affairs from Bloomberg Intelligence. The lab is also the ideal setting to deepen your understanding of trading floor activities.
You will benefit from training by Bloomberg specialists and access to their helpdesk. You can also work towards the Bloomberg Market Concepts Certificate to add to your portfolio of skills.
Our collaborations with regional, national and international employers help keep your studies up to date and relevant. You will benefit from inspirational guest lectures, real-world case studies and practical consultancy projects.
We also offer you wide-ranging opportunities to go on a work placement or internship – at home or abroad – between stages two and three of your course. This will involve a minimum of a three-month summer internship or a maximum of a year-long placement. You can draw on our links with professional organisations like PwC, DHL, CPA Australia and the Institute of Directors to compete for international placement opportunities.
Full support and guidance is available to help you find the right opportunity to match your career aspirations and interests. During your time in the workplace, you will receive visits from a tutor who will monitor your progress.
Not only will you graduate with a degree upon completion of this course, you can also choose to work towards a Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Level 5 Award in Management and Leadership (for Sept 2020 entry only), adding further substance to your CV and making you stand out from the crowd in the graduate job market.
