In the Bachelor's degree program in Health Economy, students acquire extensive business management fundamentals and at the same time learn essential content in health economy and the basics of medicine in a practical and well-founded training. Through the consistent combination of the disciplines of business administration, medicine and management, skills are acquired in order to be successful in the fields of operational and strategic medical controlling, corporate development, project management office, quality management or as an assistant to the management and to take on leadership responsibility in operational management.

The aim is to provide students with in-depth knowledge of essential documentation, coding and billing processes, which are a central component of revenue security and are therefore crucial to the economic success of healthcare facilities. In addition, they acquire extensive skills in the areas of economics, business administration and health economy.
What is special about the Bachelor's degree program in Health Economy is not only the dual qualification in medicine and business administration, but also the management training acquired at the same time. In addition to the classic management skills such as assertiveness, the ability to think analytically, negotiating skills and a competent appearance, you will also learn specialist skills in classic project and process management as well as case and quality management.
The Bachelor's degree course is modular in structure, meaning that thematically related subject areas are grouped into modules. A module usually lasts a maximum of two semesters and ends with an examination (e.g. written exam, oral examination interview, presentation). Depending on the workload, credit points (CP) are awarded for a module after passing the examination. A total of 180 CP must be proven for the Bachelor's degree.
