Successful supply chain management requires a team approach. Similarly, the business environment itself involves chains of operations with multiple people across borders. It’s therefore essential to train future professionals with these perspectives in mind.
With a typical cohort of students on each course representing more than 20 different nationalities, students can explore different perspectives and assimilate social models. This increases multicultural awareness greatly enhances negotiation skills, as well as promotes and develops a truly international profile. Students learn to reconcile cultural differences while taking into account real-life working conditions. This cultural melting pot is beneficial to every student.
Supply chain management consulting opportunities are available on a work-study basis throughout the school year. Offered in collaboration with the Supply Chain Center of Excellence and the companies themselves, these international internships have the potential to transform every student into a company’s best asset. Learning to apply the latest supply chain methodologies helps students visualize all the ins and outs and develop a holistic approach to supply chain management.
The goal is to enable students to enhance their expertise on an innovative topic within the supply chain. This gives them the opportunity to improve their ability to manage, make decisions and provide innovative and pragmatic solutions to supply chain management.
At the end of this experiment, students present and justify their recommendations to a jury of active professionals from the industry.
