IU International University of Applied Sciences has a 5-star rating in Onine Learning from QS and provides quality programmes for Bachelor, Master, and MBA degrees with a whole new approach. IU has established campuses for students who want to complete their studies on site but also offer full programmes online for distance learning. Plus, IU takes flexibility one step further. IU offers a combined approach for many of its programmes, for students to study both online and on campus. With the combined online and on-campus study model, students have the freedom to spend a semester studying from home, and the next semester on a university campus in Berlin or Bad Honnef. Study each semester wherever it makes most sense. In this way, IU enables students to develop on a personal and professional level and help advance their careers through future-oriented, flexible studies.
What drives IU, is what drives you: IU International designs their programmes to be as flexible and innovative as possible—without sacrificing quality. They deliver specialist expertise and innovative learning materials as well as focusing on excellent student services and professional advice. IU's programmes deliver subject-specific knowledge and soft skills with a future-oriented approach and digital tools to prepare graduates for the international business world.
Studying at IU International makes careers in a global environment possible and they welcome students from all over the world. IU prepares students for an international career with industry relevant educational content and they pay close attention to providing a global perspective for both general management modules and subject-specific content. IU imparts its international mind-set in all they do to prepare the next generation of professionals for global business.
94 percent of IU's graduates find a job within the first three months of graduating and, after two years, an average of 80 percent have management responsibilities. These results are based on the fact that, in addition to teaching professional expertise, IU focuses on training social and intercultural competence—plus all IU professors have a minimum of five years’ experience working directly in their field. IU is proud of its graduates and the impressive careers they have built.
Regardless of the studies you choose, you’ll have the opportunity to receive help from experienced career support professionals, who will help you at any step of the way: from writing a cover letter, to coordinating an internship or preparing for a job interview.
The Career Office also arranges regular job fairs and events where you can connect with one of our thousands of corporate partners; they’re a great way to take your first step into the international job market.
And the best part? The support doesn’t end after you graduate. At IU, we maintain a strong alumni network, with thousands of students we keep in touch with and help regularly, long after they’ve graduated.
The student experience that awaits depends on your preferences, and on the campus you choose. The Bad-Honnef campus environment is different than the Berlin campus environment, and living in Germany’s NRW region is different than living in the country’s capital.
What both campuses offer though, is a strong international network of fellow students, full support from experienced lecturers and various administration departments, such as the International Office and the Career Office, and the opportunity to live in two of Europe’s largest tech and industry hubs.
Students in Berlin can expect exciting events happening on a regular basis, Europe’s best nightlife, people from every corner of the world and a faced-paced attitude, with countless of career opportunities for young professionals. The city also has many parks and lakes, and it’s surrounded by woods – there’s always a great trail to hike or a new place to swim in on the weekends.
Students in Bad-Honnef can expect a quieter, more relaxed pace, having the campus and friends all within a short distance, and many unique student activities, and sport clubs that they can join.
And if you feel the need for something different, Cologne and Bonn, with their museums, galleries, shopping malls and great nightlife options, are just a short distance away.
For students at our Bad-Honnef campus, we offer the possibility of on-campus accommodation, in six modern apartment blocks. The student apartments are located either right at the heart of campus, or just a two-minute walk away; are fully furnished and with Wi-Fi; and also include a shared laundry room.
Experience campus life to the fullest, in an intimate town, combining privacy and being surrounded by friends and colleagues, on your own or in a shared apartment. Or, you can live close by, and rent an apartment or a shared room in the bustling cities Bonn or Cologne, and combine living in a big city with studying in a quiet campus.
For students at our Berlin campus, on-campus accommodation is not available. However, we do offer help with finding an apartment in the city, or a room in one it’s many shared apartments. Due to the campus’ central location, at the heart of Berlin, it’s easily accessible by public transportation or bicycle.
