The role of the art director is undergoing a profound transformation. It is no longer an isolated position driven solely by creative intuition, but a set of multidisciplinary skills that span design vision, technology, branding and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
In this landscape, anyone aiming to work in communication design must be able to combine creativity and method, master advanced technical tools and, most importantly, identify the most effective operational strategy for each project. This evolution directly involves those who envision a future in an art direction program or a visual design master’s path.
The Master’s Degree in Design and Communication was created precisely to respond to these new needs, training professionals capable of moving confidently across communication, visual design and innovation. The program offers a complete and up-to-date learning experience, ideal for students looking for a design course that integrates creativity, technology and strategic thinking.
Throughout the Master, students develop a broad set of competencies, ranging from skills typical of a branding course, to interface design found in a UX design program, all the way to multimedia production aligned with a videomaking course, building a truly competitive profile in today’s communication landscape.
The goal of our programs is to educate the innovators and professionals of the future, offering a learning experience that integrates creativity, technology and strategic skills that are truly in demand in the industry. Through a contemporary approach to communication design, we focus on the competencies most sought after by employers, providing an experience that goes beyond a traditional design course.
To ensure a strong connection between education and the professional world, the Master relies on a faculty composed of industry experts actively working in leading companies. This allows students to work on real projects and experience the same dynamics they would encounter in an art direction course, a visual design master, or specialized paths such as a branding course, UX design course, or videomaking course.
Throughout the program, students have access to advanced equipment that enables them to explore every phase of the creative and production process with a practical, professional approach. It is an environment designed for those who want to build multidisciplinary skills and turn them into a true competitive advantage.
Students have the opportunity to put into practice the skills acquired throughout their course of study by choosing one of the following three options:
Seize various opportunities for learning on the job to enhance your employability and cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset.
Throughout your journey, you will have the chance to engage in learning on the job experiences—valuable opportunities to enhance your employability and develop an entrepreneurial mindset.
The Job on Campus positions allow you to test yourself in real contexts, acquire useful skills, and at the same time earn money during your university years. One example is LUMINA, an agency structured like a real consulting firm, where students work on concrete projects under the mentorship of H-FARM College professors and professionals.
