Experts in the systematic testing of complex electronic and mechatronic systems are urgently required in many industry sectors such as in the electronic and the automotive industry. The innovative Master’s degree programme in System Test Engineering makes you an expert in the field.
There are four application deadlines for students from EU countries, the EEA and Switzerland: 20 March 2023, 24 April 2023, 30 May 2023 and 10 July 2023.
International students from third countries are given the opportunity to apply in winter. In their case, the application deadline for the academic year is 24 January 2023. Copies of all authenticated documents must be submitted together with the application.
This brand-new Master's degree programme in System Test Engineering is tailored to the needs of industry and to provide students with highly specialised technical knowledge in the areas of applied mathematics, software development & test automation and electronics & measurement engineering, including the latest findings in the field of testing. A key aspect of this programme is that testing requirements are taken into account early on in the development process. Our graduates are trained to work at the interface between system development and system testing.
The programme seeks to promote a critical awareness of testing issues in all core areas of the course. You will be provided with comprehensive interdisciplinary knowledge in particular in the field of requirements & quality management. Combined with the specialisations in Semiconductor Testing and System Testing you will acquire specialist problem solving skills in the fields of research and innovation which allow you to gain new knowledge and develop new processes.
After graduation, students will become an expert in the following fields:
Graduates are able to analyse, verify and validate complex mechanical, electronic and software systems. They understand the test equipment required and use it to design automated measurement setups. They are also proficient in interpreting and documenting the measurement results, are familiar with the relevant development processes and share responsibility for requirements and quality management. Their expertise is in high demand in the semiconductor industry and the automotive sector.
Graduates can work in a variety of fields and in different roles, e.g.
