Description:

The Computer Science and Information Technology programme teaches you statistical techniques, machine learning and how to design reliable software with a particular focus on security, correctness and performance.

The programme is certified annually by GRIN (GRuppo di INformatica - Italian Association of University Computer Scientists) and AICA (Italian Association for Informatics and Machine Learning), which endorse the quality of degree courses in Computer Science by issuing the "GRIN sticker".

PROGRAMME STRUCTURE

The programme, entirely taught in English, offers three curricula focusing on growing sectors of the industry and on Italian and international services such as Big Data & Analytics, Cybersecurity, Cloud e IoT:

  • Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering

  • Cybersecurity

  • Software Development and Engineering

Apart from the course work, the study plan also includes a curricular internship.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS AND ADMISSION

In order to be eligible for admission, you need to have: 

  • a minimum three-year undergraduate degree 

  • a minimum of 48 ECTS in specific scientific disciplines. Check the programme's official web page for details or contact us!

  • a certified B2-level knowledge of English.

In addition:

  • a Teaching Committee will evaluate your undergraduate transcript of records to determine if you possess the necessary background knowledge to be admitted.

FEES AND FUNDING

Depending on your nationality, the fees range from 700 to 2157 Euros. 

As a public university in Europe, Ca' Foscari not only keeps tuition fees low, but also provides targeted financial aid for high-achieving international students.

Ca' Foscari University offers high-achieving international students renewable scholarship packages of various sizes, ranging from 6,500 euro a year for bachelor's students to 8,000 euro a year for master's students.

These scholarship packages are designed to offer support for the full duration of an award-winner's degree. To be eligible to apply, you will need a minimum 8.5/10 CGPA. Complete information about the requisites at the dedicated webpage.

The regional government also offers financial aid for international students from low-income families for which you can apply after enrolment.
