Data Analytics is the science of examining data sets to identify trends and draw conclusions, and interpret this data to make predictions, which companies can apply in order to make better-informed business decisions and boost their performance.
There are four key types of Data Analytics: descriptive analytics (what happened), diagnostic analytics (why it happened), predictive analytics (what will happen in the future), and prescriptive analytics (what should we do about it). A Bachelor in Business Administration with a concentration in Data Analytics is a particularly good choice for students with quantitative and analytical skills who plan to specialize in data and the key business decisions that can be derived from it.
Studying Data Analytics at the University of New York in Prague will prime students for a career path in data science, one of the fastest-growing fields. Big data is here to stay, and graduates who are qualified in Data Analytics will find themselves ahead of the curve, with transferable skills such as communication, problem-solving and decision-making. A career in Data Analytics is highly collaborative and involves a great deal of contribution to decision-making processes, opening up doors to managerial positions and other career paths.
