The Master of Architecture programme explores subjects through Design Driven Research (DDR), combining both academic and creative experimental approaches. You will be fully prepared for multicultural and international contexts.
Based on a highly interdisciplinary learning process of integrated research, students are expected to determine a critical stance on current issues with emphasis on facilitating, making and imagining, leading to relevant spatial interventions.
The programme consists out of theoretical courses in the field of History and Theory, Building Technology and Professional Practice.
The design studio landscape is formed along 4+1 Engagements with each it’s specific focus: Urban Cultures, Craftsmanship, Legacy, Mediating Tactics and The Brussels Way. Every master studio and elective is related to one of these engagements. A rich lecture and exhibition program will deepen and accompany each of these engagements.
The theoretical courses are compulsory for all students that enroll on a specific campus (e.g. a student enrolling in Brussels follows all theoretical courses on that campus).

It is worth noting that our tuition fees are cheaper than in many other European countries thanks to the generous financing of the higher education system by our government. Although all of our programmes are very affordable compared to equivalent universities around the world, the fees for any individual student are contingent upon their choice of academic programme and the nationality of the student.
Our aim is to offer affordable tuition fees for all students, which means we only have a limited number of scholarships available for students from particular backgrounds or studying in particular fields.
Graduates are trained to lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers, interior architects, landscape architects and artists. In addition to working as independent (self-employed) architects, graduates also work as professionals in government agencies and international design firms worldwide. Many graduates go onto roles as researchers, serving local or international governance bodies, NGO's or other institutes.
