The Master in Global Management is tailored to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to become an effective leader in a business world that is increasingly global, culturally dynamic, data driven, socially responsible, and entrepreneurial. Through projects and group work, students fine-tune their planning and collaboration skills, and garner experience in intercultural relations. Support is provided throughout by faculty with substantial experience in management practice and research.
After graduation, the students are prepared for a wide range of careers, such as project leader, change manager, international business developer or head of operations. The second year offers the opportunity to specialise your degree by selecting elective courses abroad or at JIBS, or by doing a corporate internship.
All courses will be conducted in English with students in attendance from around the world, which contributes to a broad perspective on the issues discussed in classes. The teachers have extensive experience of management research, which ensures relevance of the education.
During the second year, an internship is included to give you the opportunity to get practical experience, either in Sweden or abroad. As a student, you get the chance to collaborate with companies on various projects during your studies, and participate in guest lectures given by company representatives.
During the second year, you get the opportunity to study a semester abroad at one of JIBS' recommended partner schools. During the semester, you can specialise your education, while developing your intercultural awareness and expanding your understanding of the business.
The programme has a global and cultural focus that will prepare you for an international career after graduation. Examples of future titles are International Business Developer, Project Manager, Change Manager or Operations Manager.
The programme also prepares students for doctoral research education.
