The Political Science: European Studies program enables students to develop interdisciplinary specialization on European politics, history, and institutions. It is focused on European integration, more specifically, the European Union: its history, institutions, policies and the international context in which integration takes place.
The courses offered cover salient milestones in the European Union’s development, its unique institutional mix as well as theories which help explain the Union’s creation along with its day-to-day functioning, decision-making. and the nature of its political order.
Upon completion, our students will acquire an ability to explain and describe the EU market and economic governance policies, the dynamics of EU internal security, and heterogeneous economic and political components underlying EU integration.
Beyond the classroom you can join student clubs like Diplomacy or Model UN, practice your debate skills at a faculty-student debate or discuss current political issues with professors and local experts at an event like ‘Professors in the Pub’.
AAU’s Career Center also connects students with numerous professional internships in the Czech Republic and abroad every year.
