You can also opt for the two-year double degree programme in collaboration with the University of Münster, which starts in September in Twente.
The Master’s programme in European Studies will provide you with the skills and conceptual tools to engage in descriptive, explanatory and normative research and analysis of the political and administrative issues of Europe. The entire programme takes a comparative approach, looking at the interactions between national and European bodies, the place of the EU in the world, and their effects and the ideas behind these processes.
The courses you will take include Global and European Challenges, International Relations and Politics and The Global and EU Legal Framework.
You can opt for the excellent one-year European Studies master’s programme, which has a strong focus on public administration and policy and also gives you the option of specialising in European Union regulation. In national governments, private firms, the non-profit sector and NGOs, there is a growing need for professionals with the right knowledge, insights and skills to tackle the challenges Europe poses. A career at the European Parliament is also among the options open to you.
Problems and possible solutions require thorough analysis
Complex problems cannot be solved by a single discipline
Problems are increasingly international (cross-border)
To successfully implement policies, government (the public sector) needs to cooperate with companies, NGOs, educational and research institutes, housing corporations, healthcare organisations etc.
