The programme is flexible, allowing you to gain additional experience and qualifications while studying for your MSc. You have the opportunity to undertake an industrial placement, and to work on consultancy projects. You can choose to gain six professional certificates in project management by attending a course taught by our world-class professionals.
You become a member of the Project Management Institute UK (PMI) network, the world’s leading association for professional portfolio, programme or project managers. This gives you access to weekly talks by professional guest speakers as well as other evening networking events. You can also take part in prestigious PMI university competitions.

Kent provides a variety of employability opportunities for you during your studies. These range from short-term company internship opportunities to voluntary work with local charities and University business societies. The central Careers and Employability Service also offers an exciting Employability Points Scheme.
In addition to this, Kent Business School’s specialised team of employability experts provides support to all our students in 1:1 meetings and via our Employability blog. You have access to all employability support for three years after graduation.
Students who wish to further enhance their employability, can choose to take the programme with an additional industrial placement, which can be taken in the UK or overseas and range from an additional 12 to 50 weeks. A 50-week placement would extend the normal 12-month Master’s programme to a maximum of 24 months.
Although you are responsible for finding your own placement, the School’s dedicated placements team offers you support and advice to help you gain a suitable paid position and continues to support you throughout your placement. If you are considering this option, you should be aware that you will be required to successfully complete all your modules and that there may be additional costs in terms of visa extensions, Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) and accommodation, for example.

Student accommodation, at Liberty Quays, is available for Stage 1 of your programme. Should you wish to remain in the Medway area during your placement, and for Stage 2 of your studies, the University will work with you to arrange such accommodation.
