Programme structure:

Chemical Engineering study programme at KTU enables students to engage in the design of new chemical products, the implementation of new technologies, and the advancement of innovation in the chemical industry. This programme provides students with:

• communication and professional ethics, emphasising social responsibility, sustainability, and impact on society;
• research-based knowledge of mathematics and natural sciences for the development or optimising of technological processes and products;
• design and research skills, including experience with laboratory equipment and design software suchh as Aspen Plus, HYSYS, and AutoCAD;
• practical experience gained through research and internship projects in scientific laboratories or chemical industry companies.

The programme offers flexible learning pathways, challenge-based learning and interdisciplinary competences.

Students also have the chance to study for a year at the University of Catania in Italy and obtain a double degree.
