Career opportunities

Good career prospects

From specialist of automation and control systems, project manager and head of department to company’s manager. Graduates’ remuneration is above the national average. Programme’s graduates already work at such companies, as “Siemens”, “ABB”, “Schneider Electric”, “Festo”, “Phoenix Contact”, “Klinkmann”, “Philip Morris”, “Elinta”, “Agava”, “Hidroteka”, “Axis Industries”, “Lietuvos geležinkeliai”, “Achema”, “Lifosa”, “Orlen Lietuva”, etc.

_“Modern computerised technologies for production and energy processes have been introduced in Lithuania for quite a few years. Currently in the world, as well as our country, has begun the development of the fourth generation production technologies, which collate modern control, information and technical solutions. It increases production efficiency and reduces environmental impact.
Design, installation and technical maintenance of such systems requires the specialists of control technologies, who are prepared to become the main binding element of those new technologies even before their graduation. Today it is impossible to imagine a commissioning of any industrial or energy facilities without a specialist of control technologies.
The specialists of this field are very marketable both in Lithuania and abroad. Each year 5-8 of such young specialists join our company’s team. When we communicate with local and foreign colleagues, we hear and know that other companies also constantly need specialist of this study field.” _– AB “Axis Industries”, Director of Repair Services, dr. Darius Ezerskis.

_“Studies under Control Technologies programme is one of the best choices of my life. First of all, it was a pleasure to study: students are respected, their personalities are developed, they have a freedom to choose what is best and interesting for them, and they receive support of their lecturers. The programme provides possibilities of working with the latest technologies: department cooperates with international companies, who are leaders of industrial technologies. Lecturers are glad to provide recommendations to the employers and opportunity to combine studies and work.
Secondly, my diploma of Control Technologies programme opened the door not only to Lithuanian, but also to foreign labour markets. I started working at the Lithuanian branch of international company producing electronics and automation components; currently I successfully work at its central headquarters in Germany and I can state that my education and experience are equal to those of the graduates of technical universities of Germany and other European countries.”_ – PHOENIX CONTACT GmbH&Co.KG (Germany) corporation with ABB, Manager, Sigita Bukučinskaitė.
