Description:

The English-taught BA in Global Business and Entrepreneurship (180 ECTS) is a long-standing programme (since 1989) that has prepared generations of students to become successful managers and entrepreneurs. Benefiting from a unique combination of theory and practice, students learn how to handle and deal with the variety of challenges stemming from an ever-changing international business environment.

Students are offered the opportunity to embark on a truly international and practical learning experience. Embedded in a global community, they gain first-hand experience by exploring different global business environments, internships, study abroad programmes, and highly interactive courses.

Students graduating from this Business studies programme possess a solid foundation in the functional areas of globally operating companies. The programme prepares students not only for prestigious management positions, but also for leadership responsibilities. Careers of our recent graduates include: investment banking, sales, trade, business development, online marketing and consulting.

Programme structure:

To complete this Bachelor’s degree, a minimum of 180 ECTS (credits or study points) is required. Most students complete the intense and rigorous study programme within 3 years of admission. The programme also requires the writing of a BA thesis.

  • Core courses: students start with the core curriculum, a set of courses that develop the relevant skills, knowledge and abilities essential to our distinctive undergraduate programme.
  • Major requirements: students also take a range of major requirement courses, which are divided into business, economics, mathematics and advanced statistics courses.
  • Major electives: students choose from a broad range of elective courses, one of which is an internship opportunity with one of our prestigious partner institutions
  • Free electives: students also choose free electives from any of the Bachelor-level courses offered, which allows for a wealth of choices that constitutes one of the unique aspects of our BA programmes.
