The new MSc Environmental Health programme is for existing and aspiring professionals providing you with a stimulating learning experience and opportunity to gain additional skills demanded by both public and private sectors, and international organisations.
The University of Derby Online Learning is pleased to be introducing a new environmental health programme which is suited to environmental health and allied professionals, such as food hygienists, health and safety, and public health professionals.
The programme will take you on a journey of self-development that will equip you with a broad understanding of the inter-relationship between environmental health hazards, risk assessment and the potential impact on public health and wellbeing.
Subject to this programme being approved at validation, the first intake will be September 2020 and further intakes will take place in January and May 2021.
The course will be the only online course accredited by both the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) and Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland, successful completion of the MSc will enable you to gain professional membership of these organisations.
You will study modules covering the core areas of environment health relevant to current industry practice. Taught by highly experienced environmental health practitioners, your learning will be enriched by real life situations both through the workplace and the use of case studies based on real life scenarios. You will also gain a holistic view of environmental health stressors and the risk posed to public health and wellbeing.
