The specialisation American Studies offers you the possibility of immersing yourself in the culture, literature, history, politics and media of the United States. This specialisation allows you to gain an in-depth understanding of one of today's most influential countries in the world: the ideas and values driving it, the history and politics shaping it, and the local and global cultures to which this has given shape. During the Bachelor's programme in American Studies, you will focus on all aspects of US society, culture, and language. You will gain in-depth knowledge about American politics, literature, history, media and arts and learn about the history and structure of English as a language. Of course you will also learn to speak English on a professional level.
