This engineering programme equips you with knowledge and skills to tackle the complex issues that today’s supply chains face. Specifically, the programme focuses on sustainability – one of the most significant concerns of supply chains in terms of business, society and environment. The programme is open to applicants from around the world.
The programme is designed in a fashion that incorporates real-life issues regarding sustainability in several supply chain management related courses. Besides core courses in mathematics, the programme includes topics that cover various stages of supply chains from purchasing and production, to distribution and retailing.
Our professional faculty ensures that you will gain a unique experience in the courses that strongly connect theory and practice. The teaching is carried out in English, and you will study alongside students from all over the world.
During the programme, you will also have the opportunity to spend at least a semester abroad, which will further broaden your international proficiency. This will give you international contacts, experience and qualifications that will be highly valued by future employers.
You will make direct contact with a company within the industry through an Industrial Placement Course. The course involves nine weeks of work experience at a company. Those who wish to do so, can carry out this work experience abroad. The programme will also include industry involvement through activities such as guest lectures and job market days.
The programme educates future industrial engineers and executives with multi-disciplinary expertise who will be experts in managing sustainable supply chains.
Possible future career prospects include positions within production, purchasing, distribution, as well as retail and e-commerce. As a graduate, you could also continue your education at the master’s level. At Jönköping University, you can follow your academic education within production, and logistics and SCM up to the doctoral level.
